TENNIS PRO SHOP RECEPTIONIST & BUYER

Job Description:  Compiles and maintains records of the quantity, type, and value of the supplies within the Tennis shop. Responsibility focuses on all aspects of inventory movement including product sales, restocking and accounting for every item in the shop and storerooms. Answer phones and meet and greet members as they enter the shop.

              Skills:  Computer skills and knowledge of inventory software and programs. Strong calculative and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills, excellent customer service skills; personable with a pleasant personality.

              Knowledge:  Inventory Control; Merchandise Ordering; Basic knowledge of using barcode equipment. Excellent computer skills.
              Experience:  
Customer service; front desk and prior pro shop experience preferred.

 Job Duties:

Inventory
           
Coordinates tennis inventory requirements and procurement details with vendors and

            Prepares inventory budgets and maintains the stock ratio.

            Conducts the inventory cycle counting.
            Responsible for the accounting and reporting of inventory surplus, product returns and any damages.
            Evaluates the cost movement of company products and assessing the purchase and invoice details.

            Replenishes stock/merchandise.

            Forecasts and estimates the potential stock requirements based on sales reports.

            Tracks the transportation and distribution of inventory.

            Conducts a daily audit of inventory.
            Prepares journal entries, monthly and year end closings, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliations.

                          Other duties as assigned or requested by Director of Tennis.

Administration

 On a daily basis, review all charges prior to submission to the Accounting Department being sure to reconcile lessons, clinics and events to lesson book, court bookings and tennis events held for that day.

            Answer phones in a friendly, upbeat manner; forward calls to correct area of Club.

            Updating the Tennis section of the club web-site; assist with the daily email blast.

              Receive in and tag all merchandise to CE.

              Sells and records merchandise and transactions in shop. 

              Promotes all club activities and services.

              Provides members with policies, rules and regulations.

              Assists in tournament operations.

              Handles opening and closing duties when scheduled.

Position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
Salary range is $12 to $15 per hour - based on experience and skill set.
